Tidbits - Why we should ‘say’?
Remember the old adage – ‘watch what you say because you cannot take it back’? Well, I am not a huge proponent of this line of thought. While the above phrase is factually correct, it says little (no pun intended) about what could be the potential impact of not saying anything at all. I for one, think that a whole lot of what isn’t right with the world around us, or on a more positive note, how the world around us could be better but isn’t, is because most of us do not say anything at all. I think not saying or opining has more serious repercussions than saying something, even if it is not the whole picture or a tad in error. At least, it keeps the conversation going and the opinions coming so the picture keeps getting refined and complete!
Tidbits - The Journey called Life

Do you remember the last time you lost or misplaced something and went searching? When you are in search of something, you end up looking at many things but do not see them. That is because you have trained your mind, for that while, to see only the object you are searching for.
Life is pretty similar. If you lead life in search of things, while you may, indeed, get what you are searching for, you are most likely, missing out on a whole bunch of things which may have been far more fulfilling, rewarding, exciting, or even redefined your perception of what is worth the while.
The quality of your life is, almost entirely, a function of how aware you are of the JOURNEY CALLED LIFE and what you experience through it; more than the culmination of that search.
Journey on, live on…

Tidbits - Success and Social Acceptance

The most important ingredient of success, as the world knows it, is social acceptance.

The reason is, in fact, right there in the middle of the sentence! Having said that, unlikely, that there are too many reclusive folks whose success is known or visible to the world (while they may still be successful in their own state of self-awareness). And, unlikely, that there are too many successful folks, that have achieved whatever they set out to, that aren’t known to the world.

Haven't heard of a sportsman setting a world record during private practice being acknowledged a world champion! Haven't read about a well-published author that hasn't written a bestseller! Haven't heard of a successsful spiritual guru or a corporate leader that did not have followers! Ok, there are zillions of examples to cite, but the point is that social acceptance is the all-important feedback loop that defines success.

Tidbits - Hypocrisy.
The righteous have zero tolerance to hypocrisy…especially when they are the ones at the raw end of the deal!
Tip of the day - What sets apart a winner is the ability to make mistakes, learn and move on. What sets apart a loser is the fear of making mistakes and hence staying put.

Tip of the day - Lie, unlike popular perception, is seldom born of the inability to acknowledge, accept, deal with, and live the truth. It is, almost always, born out of the lack of knowledge or understanding of the truth. In that sense, there is no lie but only an absence or lack of truth. And the discovery of truth is a journey where the perception of truth changes proportionately with the increase in knowledge and understanding. The inability to tread the path of truth is an act of denial and the path of denial has more far-reaching negative consequences.

Tidbits

Truth - There isn't anything like the absolute truth. There's truth as I see it, truth as you see it, even truth as we all see it.
Tidbits

Happiness - when was the last that your state of being was not a function of someone else's?
Tip of the day - If you are in a state of confusion in your pursuit of happiness as to what exactly would make you happy, seek out the moments, incidents, memories from the past that did make you happy. The mind works best with associations and this should help unclutter your thought process.
